Module #2:
How to have "Square Peg" Mindset, and How to Effectively Contact People for a MG
OK, having completed Module #1, it's time to get your Network development started!
NOTE: It's very important to understand the below guidance BEFORE you start talking to people about the business. And be sure to closely involve your coach at every step as you proceed.
Getting Started with Business Development
There are FOUR simple things for you to do to get off to an effective, successful start with your network development:
1. Understand that prior perceptions are incorrect. Your perception of YOUR capability, and most people’s perceptions of any home-based business are often incorrect. Therefore, watch the “Understand Perceptions” video… where we teach the “Square the Peg” idea. it is key to your fundamental understanding of our philosophy on how to effectively build this business.
2. Carefully watch the “How to Schedule a MG” video and related documents to understand a very simple and compelling method that we have PROVEN to be effective. PLEASE DO NOT believe that an adhoc approach with your friends will necessary be effective. It may work for a few close friends who trust you… but over the long term, it won’t be effective. Let us teach you HOW to BE EFFECTIVE.
3. Use a session with your Coach to go over the Mindset and Technique we recommend. Let us help you.
4. If, at any time, you have a high percentage of people who don’t respond favorably to your text, or to agree to a proposed MG appointment…. STOP, and ask your Coach for a Session. Don’t be disappointed… business skills develop over time and you CAN do this!
How to have "Square Peg" Mindset
Dave & Nette Fratello
Insight:
The challenge as we talk to people about our business development is based on a simple conflict of two facts:
– Access to our business team is an incredible life-changing opportunity. You have every reason to be excited about it.
– If you are too enthusiastic and descriptive when you talk to someone about it… they’ll think you’re just trying to sell them on “one of those” selling-recruiting home-based businesses.
Fact: Learn to “Square the Peg”
We have learned to understand that conflict and use it to our advantage with what we call our “Square the Peg” approach. Learn this simple “leaning back” mindset and the technique of “taking it away” and you will be effective in scheduling MG’s. Know this: most people HAVE dream, and want MORE in life. They ARE eager to learn about how to create more SUCCESS. All you have to do is learn how to properly connect this desire to our business.
